Sharon Hunger

Director

Sharon Hunger is the Funeral Director and Owner of Rullman Hunger Funeral Home. Sharon, daughter of Larry and Esther (Sedam) Hunger, is a native of a small town near Versailles, Benham, Indiana, and a graduate of South Ripley High School. Sharon now resides in Aurora with her husband, Rick Lowe and two loving K-9 kids, Hope and Moses.

Sharon began her career in the industry as an employee at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home where she served for over 20 years. During that time, she attended Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science and became a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer for the State of Indiana before eventually taking over as Director at Rullman Hunger Funeral Home in 2000.

Sharon is deeply rooted in the community and considers it an honor to serve the families in and around Dearborn County. When not serving at the funeral home, she serves as an active member of the Church on Fire in Harrison, OH. Sharon and the funeral home have been proud hosts of the Southeastern Indiana Love the Hungry event since 2011. Through the ministry of this event, more than 2,000,000 meals have been packaged for the hungry worldwide.

In her free time, Sharon enjoys spending time with her husband, Rick, her two loving dogs, her stepchildren, and beautiful grandchildren.

Roger Rullman

Director Emeritus

Roger Rullman has been involved in the funeral business since he was a child. It was natural that he, along with his late brother, Millard Rullman, would follow their father, Harry Rullman, as funeral directors. Roger was drafted into the army in 1959. He left a few days before the open house of the new funeral home at its current location. After he was discharged from the U.S. Army in 1961, he attended and graduated embalming school. Roger's wife Patty, is a retired school teacher from South Dearborn Community Schools. He and Millard worked hard to provide the best funeral services available to the Aurora community for more than 40 years.

Roger officially retired in 2001, but still actively serves at many funerals when he’s needed.  Roger is an active member at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Aurora as well as the American Legion Post #231. Roger spends his spare time golfing and gardening as well as enjoying the company of his wife Patty and their beloved daughters and their families, Stephanie Rice, Angela and Matt Burkhart and their children, Nick and Rachel.

Toby Day

Funeral Home Associate

Toby is the newest addition to the funeral home staff. He joined Rullman’s full-time in 2015 and quickly began mortuary prerequisite studies at the Lawrenceburg’s Ivy Tech campus. In January 2018 he began studies at Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science to become a licensed funeral director.

Toby grew up in southern Dearborn County where he still resides with his wife, Loretta Day, their son, Thomas and their 3 dogs. Toby is an active member of Hopewell Masonic Lodge #80 in Dillsboro.
