William Dale "Bill" Kirkpatrick

September 6, 1947 ~ December 25, 2021 (age 74)


William Dale "Bill" Kirkpatrick, 74, of Cleves, Ohio, formerly of  Bear Branch, passed away Saturday, December 25, 2021, in Cincinnati, OH.

He was born September 6, 1947, in Rising Sun, IN, son of the late William Albert and Gertrude (Storey) Kirkpatrick. 
Bill was very patriotic.  He served his country as a member of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War.

He worked as a Machinist & Fork Lift Operator for Campbell-Hausfeld/Wayne Group, retiring after 38 years of service.
He was a member of VFW in Harrison, OH for many years.   Bill loved listening to music, especially Old Country, Gospel, and some Classic Rock & Roll.  He enjoyed music trivia, fishing, and tinkering in his shed.  Bill was obsessed with an immaculate lawn.  It was always finely groomed.  His neighbors even accused him of cutting the blades of grass with scissors to keep it so neat.  He was an animal lover.  Bill was a jokester and storyteller.  He didn't know a stranger and was loved by everyone that knew him.  He had many friends.  Bill was a family man, and he had a very tight knit family.  His greatest joy was time spent with them.

Bill is survived by his loving spouse of 40 years, Terra (McCabe)  Kirkpatrick, daughter, Brandy (Terry) Auer of Cleves, OH; son, Troy Dale (Endea) Smith of Vevay, IN; siblings, Donna Ketenbrink and Betty York of Dillsboro, IN; and a host of nieces and nephews that he was very proud of. 

He was preceded in death by his parents;  brother, James William Kirkpatrick, Ernie Gene Kirkpatrick, and John Ray Kirkpatrick; half brother, Gene Kirkpatrick; sister, Dora Lee "Pete"  Kirkpatrick; and son, Bryan Kirkpatrick. 

Friends will be received Sunday, January 2, 2022, 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street,Aurora, IN. 

Services will be held at the Funeral Home, Monday  at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow in the Oakdale Cemetery, Dillsboro, IN.  Military graveside services will be conducted by the Southeastern Indiana Honor Guard.
