Sondra L. "Sandy" Ashbrook, 75, of Burlington, Kentucky, formerly of Lawrenceburg, IN, passed away Friday March 5, 2021 in Union, Kentucky.
She was born February 5, 1946 in Grand Island, NB, daughter of the late Charles Ashbrook and Florence (Lapham) Ashbrook.
She worked for Sky Chef, doing Clerical work, for American Airlines, retiring after over 28 years of service. In her younger years, Sandy helped her family run the Master Chef Restaurant and Hotel in Lawrenceburg, IN. She was a hard worker and put in long hours to support her family. The family is very close and she was the strength and backbone of the family. Sandy loved playing cards and Scrabble with all of her loved ones. She was a wonderful mom, grandma, great grandma, aunt, and friend. She will be greatly missed.
Sandy is survived by her loving daughter, Lori Baker of Florence, KY; grandchildren, Krystal Lozier (Tyler Lutz) of Independence, KY, and Dustin (Shanna) Baker of Hebron, KY; great grandchildren, Addyson Baker and Jameson Baker; nephews, Irvin Vinson and Scott Vinson of Lawrenceburg, IN. She was preceded in death by Father, Charles Ashbrook, Mother, Florence Ashbrook, Sister, Betty Vinson Farley.
Friends will be received Friday, March 12, 2021, 11:00 pm - 2:00 pm at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, Indiana.
Services will be held at the Funeral Home, Friday at 2:00pm, immediately following visitation.
Interment will follow in the Greendale Cemetery, Greendale, Indiana.
