Robert Francis "Bob" Myers, 95, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away Saturday December 26, 2020 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.
He was born August 18, 1925 in Franklin County, Indiana son of the late George "Woody" Myers and Nellie (Luce) Myers.
Robert served his country as a member of the United States Marines during WWII. He was an Iwo Jima survivor as well as a Purple Heart recipient.
He worked as a operator for Schenley Distillery, retiring after over 31 years of service.
He was a lifetime member of the Aurora First United Methodist Church, the American Legion, 40 et 8, a life member of the VFW and a Masonic Lodge member for over 60 years.
Robert is survived by his daughters, Martha (Terry) Block of Greendale, IN, Diane L Goodwin of Harrison, Ohio; grandchildren, Lance (Angela) Block, Christopher (Tiffany) Block, Erin DeLuca, and Andrew Goodwin; great, grandchildren, Draven, Kanan, Victoria, Nicholas, Ethan, Amelia and Sophia.
He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Melba "Bobbie" Myers; siblings, George Myers Jr., Geneva Himelick, Mary Mullins, John Myers and Edna Marie Green; grandson, Matthew Goodwin.
Friends will be received Wednesday, December 30, 2020, 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, Aurora, Indiana. Masonic services will be held at
Services will be held at 2:00 pm, with Pastor Ryan Goode officiating.
Interment will follow in the River View Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Southeastern Indiana Honor Guard.
