Melissa A. "Missy" Stevens, 55, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away Friday, August 14, 2020 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.
She was born September 23, 1964 in Lawrenceburg, IN, daughter of the late Floyd L. Stevens Sr.and Marjorie (Ochs) Stevens.
Missy loved to go to McDonalds with her sister Rita. She was very Patriotic and always wanted to wear her shirt with the flag on it.
She attended ROD and worked at New Horizons. She enjoyed basketball, and bowling with the Special Olympics team and she also liked to bowl at Durbin Bowl. Missy was a star basketball player, even getting to go to Terre Haute to play. She also loved to listen to country music, dance and play musical instruments.
Melissa is survived by her siblings, Dilver "Loren" (Myrt) Bennett of Aurora,IN., Rita J. Bennett of Aurora, IN, Floyd L. (Rita) Stevens Jr. of Dillsboro, IN and Lucinda (John) D'Onfrio of Mason, OH. and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by parents; siblings, Frederick L. Bennett, Timothy Dale Bennett, Rebecca Lou Stevens.
Friends will be received Tuesday, August 18, 2020, 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, Indiana.
Services will be held at the funeral home at 2:00 pm with Pastor Debby Allen officiating.
Interment will follow in the Union Cemetery, Moores Hill, Indiana.
Contributions may be made to the family for funeral expenses, Special Olympics Friendship Team or Rising Sun Church of Christ. If unable to attend services, please call the funeral home office at (812) 926-1450 and we will notify the family of your donation with a card.
