Edward Allen Johnson, 94, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away Friday December 4, 2020 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.
He was born August 21, 1926 in Carrollton, KY, son of the late Ernest Johnson and Susie (Thomas) Johnson
He served his country as a member of the United States Army. Ed worked as a Glass Plant Operator for Thatcher Glass, retiring after over 20 years of service. In his youth, he played Minor League baseball for the Red Sox. He enjoyed hunting, and fishing and liked to watch sports.
Ed is survived by his loving spouse of 69 years Annabelle "Lucy" (Riggs) Johnson , Son, Ernest Ray "Ernie" (Brenda) Johnson of Aurora, IN; Daughter, Linda (Darrell) Franklin of Elrod, IN; Brother, Joe Johnson of Florence, IN; Sister, June Bolden of Cincinnati, OH; Grandchildren, Angela Jean (Kelan) McNaughton of Aurora, IN, Jennifer (Jared) Ohlmansiek, Sarah (Dustin) Simon, Rebecca Ann (Chad) Ahrens; Great-Grandchildren, Dylan, and Dustin Hyatt, Dakota Zimmer, James Johnson, Ellie, and Cara Ohlmansiek, Brooklyn, Payton, Morgan, and Quinn Simon, Blake, and Gracie Ahrens. He was preceded in death by Father, Ernest Johnson, Mother, Susie Johnson, Grandson, Timothy "Pup" Johnson, siblings, James Ernest Johnson, Elmer Thomas Johnson, and Doris Ann Dixon.
Friends will be received Tuesday, December 8, 2020, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, Indiana.
Services will be held at the Funeral Home, Wednesday, at 11:00 am with George Potter officiating.
Interment will follow in the River View Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Southeastern Indiana Honor Guard.
