Obituary

David Michael Scott, 58, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, passed away Saturday April 10, 2021 in Edgewood, Kentucky.

He was born July 12, 1962 in Covington, KY, son of the late Jewell Scott and Janet (Winebrunner) Scott. 

David worked as a Lead extra for Crane Composites.
 
David loved the outdoors.  He enjoyed camping, fishing, and boating, and was in the process of rebuilding a Pontoon boat.  David was an avid Pittsburg Steelers Fan. He loved to help everyone, anywhere or anytime.  He absolutely loved time with his family, and he will be greatly missed by them all.

David is survived by his loving spouse Melinda (Knue) Scott of Lawrenceburg, IN, children, Rachael (Josh) Addington of Covington, KY, David (Kristine) Scott of Independence, KY, Kendra Jenkins of Lawrenceburg, IN, Nathan Scott of Lawrenceburg, IN; siblings, Debra (Bill) Heis of Jacksonville, FL, Timothy (Sally) Scott, of Watakoneta, OH, Daniel (late Paula) Scott of Burlington, KY, Shawn (Linda) Scott of Independence, KY; grandchildren, Alleah Mastin, Jamie Mastin, Kaleb Scott, Michael Scott, Braden Scott, Mia Scott; several nieces & nephews, extended family and lots of friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends will be received Sunday, April 18, 2021, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the Greendale First Baptist Church, 45 Tebbs Ave, Greendale, Indiana.  

Services will be held at the church on Monday at 12:00 pm with Father Ben Syberg officiating.

Interment will follow in the Greendale Cemetery, Greendale, Indiana.  

Contributions may be made to the Eddie Knue Toy Give Away.  If unable to attend services, please call the funeral home office at (812) 926-1450 and we will notify the family of your donation with a card.

Due to the current situation dealing with COVID-19, we are following the directives from Governor Holcomb and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention concerning large events and mass gatherings. The family deeply appreciates the support and love shown from friends, but the health and well being of everyone in our community is of top priority. We are asking everyone who will be in attendance to please remember the social distancing guidelines at all times, and the wearing of masks is highly recommended.  Alternative ways to express your condolences can be done by going online at our website and leaving the family a message, sending a card, flowers, or making a donation in memory of their loved one.
