Brian Edward Cassidy, 46, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021.
He was born August 20, 1974 in Dearborn County, Indiana to Bill and Dorthy (McGraw) Cassidy. They moved to Sunnyvale, CA in 1978.
Brian graduated from Adrian C. Wilcox High School, Class of 1992 in Santa Clara, CA where he developed a life-long love for the outdoors, team sports, water sports, snow skiing and snowboarding. He attended of University of Nevada, Reno and returned to Aurora, where he met and married Leslie Russell.
Brian discovered his interest to “create” in the commercial and residential construction industry-which led to his passion to “re-create”, ultimately hand-building their family home from two existing 1880’s log cabins.
Brian enjoyed hunting and dirt biking; however, he was never more enthusiastic than when attending his children’s many sporting events. He was a devoted husband, proud parent, dear son and brother, and close, loyal friend to so many. His generous donation of tissue and organs enriched the lives of 143 people.
Brian is survived by his loving spouse of over 15 years, Leslie (Russell), children, Corbin Cassidy of Aurora, IN, Callie Cassidy of Aurora, IN; parents Bill and Dorthy Cassidy of Aurora, IN; siblings, Jill Durzinsky of Cincinnati, OH, David (Lisa) Cassidy of Flanders, NJ, Susan DePaiva of Cincinnati, OH; nieces Emily, Samantha, Mei, Jessica, Hailey, and Lily, and nephews, Adam, Jeffrey, Jordan and Jacob.
