Thelma L. Johnson, 76, of  Sunman IN, died Sunday, April 27, 2008 in Dillsboro, IN.

She was born Sunday, September 27, 1931 in Brock, Ky.  Daughter of the late Emmet John Phipps and the late Gustava Bryant Phipps

She was a member of  Retire Club at Anchor Glass. 
She worked as a Inspector  for Thatcher Glass/Anchor Glass MFg, retiring after over 36 years of service.

Surviving are  her  Husband, John  E. Johnson  Sr of Sunman, IN; Son, John  E. (Brenda) Johnson Jr of Sunman, IN;   Brothers, Elvin and Elmer Phipps of Panama City, FL, James Phipps of Avon Park, FL, Douglas Phipps of Wrigt, MN;  Sisters, Virginia Hammons of Dillsboro, IN, Sharon Elbrecht of Aurora, IN, Judy Heck of Lawrenceburg, IN; Grandsons, John E. Johnson III and  James Paul  Johnson of Sunman, IN.
 

She was preceded in death by her Parents and Sister Sally Hacker.

Services

Friends will be received 12:00 - 2:00 PM, Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at the Rullman Hunger Denney Funeral Home, Aurora, Indiana.

Services will be held at the Funeral Home, Wednesday,  at 2:00 pm, following visitation, with Pastor Charles Hill officiating.

Interment will follow in the Mt. Sinai Cemetery, Aurora, IN.
