Paul J. Speier, 87, of Bear Branch, died Sunday, November 9, 2008 in Lawrenceburg, IN.

He was born Tuesday, April 5, 1921 in Dayton, Kentucky, Son of the late Louis A. Speier and the late Sophia Haunert Speier.

He served his Country as a WWII Army Veteran. He was a member of St Mary's Catholic Church, Foresters and a former Bear Branch Volunteer Fireman.  He worked as a Sheet Metal Worker for C&O Railroad, retiring after over 35 years of service.

Surviving are Wife, Audrey Speier of Bear Branch, IN;   Daughters, Sandra Althoff of Vevay, IN, Dorothy "Cookie" Althoff of Bright, IN, Jennifer Staley of Ft. Wayne, IN; Stepsons: Jerry Withered, Lafayette, IN, Dan & Dave Withered, Bloomington, IN, Joe Withered, Dallas, TX; Stepdaughters, Roxanne Meyer, Versailles, IN, Kathy Cox, Carmel, IN; 9 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren, 9 Step-Grandchildren & 4 Step-Great Grandchildren.
 

Services

Friends will be received 5:00 - 8:00 PM, Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at the Rullman Hunger Denney Funeral Home, Aurora, Indiana.

Services will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at 11:00 am with Father Joseph Feltz & Fr. Thomas Speier officiating.

Interment will follow in the Marker Althoff Cemetery, Bearbranch, IN.  Color Guard Services will be conducted by the Korean War Veterans and the American Veterans.
