Mary Jean Patterson, 77, of Aurora, IN, died Thursday, July 16, 2009 in Lawrenceburg, IN.

She was born Tuesday, March 1, 1932 in Vincennes, IN, Daughter of the late Albert P. Mooney and the late Esther Ivers Mooney.

She was a teacher at Moores Hill (South Dearborn School Corp.) for 25 years, at St. Mary's Catholic School for 10 years, and currently was a reading teacher at St. John Lutheran School.  She was also a Member & Deacon at Beecher Presbyterian Church, a member of the Indiana State Teachers Association, Tri Kappa Sorority, and a volunteer at the Dearborn County Hospital Auxiliary.

Surviving are Husband, Rev. David M. Patterson of Aurora, IN; Son, Douglas M. Patterson of Aurora, IN; Daughter, Mary Ann Patterson of Lawrenceburg, IN;   Sisters, Juanita Burge of Greenville, IL, & Ruth Hanks of Carthage, IL; Grandchildren, Brett M. Jackson & Nicholas L. Jackson.
 

Services

Friends will be received 4:00 - 8:00 PM, Sunday, July 19, 2009 at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, Aurora, Indiana.

Services will be held at Beecher Presbyterian Church, Monday, July 20, 2009 at 11:00 am with Rev. Dana Stout officiating.

Interment will follow in the Upper Indiana Cemetery, Vincennes, IN.
