Kenneth Joe Peters, 71, of Rising Sun, IN, formerly of Aurora, IN, died Saturday, June 20, 2009 in Lawrenceburg, IN.

He was born Tuesday, July 6, 1937 in Aurora, Indiana, Son of the late Walter Orville Peters and the late Sylvia R. Brady Peters
 
He was a former Aurora Fire Chief and EMT, a former member of the Aurora Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Moose Lodge. 

He worked as a Plant Supervisor  for Fernald Uranium Plant, retiring after over 40 years of service.   Mr. Peters also helped Glendal Stork at the Funeral Home for several years.

Surviving are Daughter, Laura  Sirosky of Aurora, IN; Son, David  Peters of Aurora, IN;   Brothers, Virgil Peters of Rising Sun, IN, Lewis Earl Peters of Ben, OR; Sister, Wanda Vinson of Harrison, OH; Grandchildren, Shannon Bowling, Chad  & Brent Sirosky, Brittany Lunsford, Zach Scudder,  & Austin Bills.

 

Services

Friends will be received 5:00 - 8:00 PM, Thursday, June 25, 2009 at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, Aurora, Indiana.

Services will be held at the Funeral Home, Friday, at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow in the Rising Sun New Cemetery, Rising Sun, IN.
