Katherine "Kate" Harris Brooks, 83, of Aurora, IN,  died Wednesday, January 23, 2008 in Lawrenceburg, IN.

She was born Wednesday, November 26, 1924 in Auburn, IN, Daughter of the late Carl L. Harris and the late Bethel Harris.
 
She was one of the oldest member of  the First Baptist Church of Aurora.  Kate graduated from Aurora High School in 1943.  She was also a member of  Eastern Star-Dillsboro Branch & Former member of Phi Beta Psi Sorority.  She worked as a Secretary at Manchester School, retiring after over 14 years of service.

Surviving are Sons, Michael Keith Brooks of Aurora, IN, Timothy Joe Brooks of Aurora, IN; and Grandsons, Michael, Jason, David, Thomas and Patrick.  Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Joseph C. "Joe" Brooks and Sister, Jean Howard.
 

Services

Friends will be received 5:00 - 9:00 Friday at the First Baptist Church of Aurora, Indiana. ( 6060 Blair Rd., across from the Fire Department.)

Services will be held at First Baptist Church of Aurora,   Saturday, at 11:00 am with Pastor Steve Allen and Pastor Don Buck officiating.
Interment will follow in the Riverview Cemetery, Aurora, IN.
