Joseph C. "Joe" Brooks, 81, of Aurora, IN, died Monday, January 7, 2008 in Lawrenceburg, IN.

He was born Sunday, October 24, 1926 in Aurora, IN, Son of the late Wonder Brooks and the late Sarah Elizabeth Bennett Brooks. 

He was a member of First Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge-Aurora Chapter, Scottish Rite, Murat Shrine Temple, Indianapolis, IN & Southeastern Indiana Shrine Club.  He was a Charter Member of the Manchester Volunteer Fire Dept. & a Volunteer, Past President of National Burial Vault Association, Past President of Doric Association & Member of the Riverview Cemetery Board.

He worked as an Owner/Operator of Individual Mausoleum, selling concrete products and retiring after over 55 years of service.

Surviving are his Wife, Katherine "Kate" Brooks of Aurora, IN;  Sons, Michael Keith Brooks & Timothy Joe Brooks, both of Aurora, IN; Sister, Eileen Smith of Columbia City, IN; Grandchildren:  Michael, Jason, David, Thomas & Patrick.  Nieces & Nephews. 
 

Services

Friends will be received 5:00-9:00 pm, Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at First Baptist Church Aurora.  Masonic Services will be held at 7:30 pm.  

Services will be held at the Church at 11:00 am on Thursday with Pastor Don Buck & Pastor Steve Allen officiating.

Interment will follow in the Riverview Cemetery, Aurora, IN.
