Helen Wilson Petscher, 104, of Dillsboro, IN,
formerly of Aurora, died Sunday, March 16, 2008 in Dillsboro, IN.
She was born Wednesday, October 21, 1903 in Dillsboro, IN, Daughter of the late
Clarence B. Wilson and the late Alice Garrigues Wilson.
She was the oldest member of the Aurora First Presbyterian Church and long-time
Choir Director, Tri Kappa Sorority and Daughters of American Revolution. She
started the first Aurora High School Band in 1926 and was one of the founders of
the Ohio Valley Choral Festival. She is most remembered for her music, not just
teaching the fundamentals, but also the love of music. She worked as a Teacher,
retiring after 26 years of service in the Aurora Public School systems.
Surviving are Sons, Dr. John (Janis) Wilson Petscher of Madison, IN, William
Albert (Jennie) Petscher of West Terre Haute, IN; Daughters, Jean Petscher of
Cincinnati, OH, Phyllis "Phee" (Derald) Ellinghausen of Aurora, IN; 11
Grandchildren & 14 Great Grandchildren; & Several Nieces & Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert R. Petscher.

Services
Friends will be received 5:00 - 8:00 PM,
Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at the Rullman Hunger Denney Funeral Home, Aurora,
Indiana.
Services will be held at First Presbyterian Church Aurora, Thursday, at 11:00
am with Rev. Dana Bruce Stout & Rev. David Patterson officiating.
Interment will follow in the Riverview Cemetery.
