Dan Whiteford, 85, of Lawrenceburg, IN, formerly
of Aurora, died Sunday, April 19, 2009 in Lawrenceburg, IN.
He was born Thursday, August 9, 1923 in Aurora, IN, Son of the late John
Whiteford and the late Alice Bailey Whiteford.
He served his Country as an Army Veteran and was a Purple Heart recepient.
He was a member of the VFW & American Legion Post of Aurora, IN.
He worked as a Coremaker for Stedman's Foundry, retiring after over 35 years of
service.
Surviving are Sons, Frank "Dan" Whiteford of Lawrenceburg, IN, Michael Whiteford
of Aurora, IN, & Tim (Angie) Whiteford of Aurora, IN; 8 Grandchildren & 9 Great
Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Whiteford & Daughter: Judy McElfresh.
Services
Friends will be received 5:00 - 8:00 PM, Tuesday,
April 21, 2009 at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, Aurora, Indiana.
Services will be held at the Funeral Home, Wednesday, at 11:00 am with Pastor
Charles Hill officiating.
Interment will follow in the Riverview Cemetery, Aurora, IN. Color Guard
Services will be conducted by the Korean War Veterans and the American Veterans.
