Betty L. McCardle, 81, of Aurora, IN, died Sunday, November 23, 2008 in Lawrenceburg, IN.

She was born Saturday, January 1, 1927 in Aurora, Indiana.  She was the Secretary for the Principal at South Dearborn High School, retiring after over 20 years of service.  Betty was a charter member of the Aurora Eagles Auxiliary and a former member of the Aurora Phi Beta Phi Sorority.

Surviving are Son, Jeff (Sue) McCardle of Rising Sun, IN;  Daughters, Lucinda "Cindy" Lewis of Lawrenceburg, IN, Beverly "Bev"(Dennis) Carrigan of Rising Sun, IN;  Sisters,  Gloriann Slayback of Aurora, IN; 5 Grandchildren Molly (Jeremy) Martin, Toby (Raimi)Carrigan, Caleb Carrigan &  Joe Carrigan, Abby (Ryan )Friend & 5 Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Husband: Edward McCardle, Parents: Earl & Martina Lischkge & Sisters: Janet Hastings & Dianna Johnston.
 

Services

Friends will be received 6:00 - 8:00 PM, Friday, November 28, 2008 at the Rullman Hunger Denney Funeral Home, Aurora, Indiana.

Services will be held at Rullman Hunger Denney Funeral Home, Saturday, November 29, 2008 at 11:00 am with Pastor Charles Hill officiating.

Interment will follow in the Riverview Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana.
